A non governmental organizations, The Called African Foundation in partnership with Urhobo Progress Youth Association, UPYA have presented food items worth thousands of naira to Shepherd Care International Ministries Orphanage, Eku in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
Presenting the items which includes, Rice, Beans, Yams, Detergents, Noodles, bags of Garri, UPYA team leader, Marcus Ekure and his team on behalf of the president of The Called African Foundation, Mr. Kelvin Akpochimora said, “We are here today to contribute our quota as an organization to the less privileged and this Orphanage home is chosen.
“This is the just the beginning of good things to come because we are ready to partner together to train and offer scholarship to some of the children.
“The Called African Foundation in partnership with UPYA has put in place every necessary arrangements to ensure that 2021 will be smooth to kick start.
By the special grace of God, come January, 2021, The Called African Foundation, will return with a different story to this Orphanage and when they come, the story will be positive.
According Ekure, “UPYA is going bring her mobile empowerment train to Eku here in Ethiope East so that the children would be trained on skills acquisition and when they grow, they have to be employer of labour which will make them to be dependent.
“Our professional trainers will train some of the children on Computer Appreciation, Photography, Barbing, liquid soap making, tailoring, GSM repairs, Olive oil, perfume and other confectionaries after which starter pack will be presented to the very best among them.
“We want to catch them young and through this medium, and it will interest us to know that they are very young and anything they learn now, they would not forget”.
